LONDON BOARD

Ben (Zimbabwe Citizen) is co-founder and MD of Mangwana Capital, an Africa-focused investment advisory and private equity firm with interests in mining, agriculture and tourism. Mangwana Capital is a significant financier of AANR with associated equity options. Previously, Ben spent 21 years at Deloitte Africa, 13 as a Partner, and 6 years as Regional CEO for Deloitte Central Africa, while also a member of the Africa EXCO which oversaw Deloitte’s operations across 15 countries in East, Central, Southern and West Africa. Emma (UK Citizen) began as a Mine Surveyor in Southwest England, progressing through roles as Mining Engineer, Mining Analyst and Corporate Broker at Credit Suisse, then subsequently other City of London Brokers, NOMAD’s etc. She served as Director of Lonrho PLC , where she was instrumental in launching LonZim PLC, – raising US$60 million to invest in Zimbabwe. Author of 2 white papers published in 5 Industry Journals, Emma has served as President MinSouth Institute of Materials Mining and Metallurgy (05/06), been a Representative – UK Financial Conduct Authority (2001 – 18), and served on Boards of several public mining companies. Paul (UK Citizen) migrated from Natural Resources to stockbroking 30 years ago and ran client funds at SG Hambro’s, Nat West, W I Carr and boutique Savoy A.M. He currently sits on the Investment Committee of Valere Consulting SA, Zurich Blue Chip Equity. Personally active in African Venture Capital interests, Paul is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and was recently asked to join their Swiss National Advisory Council. Registered with and regulated by FINMAR, the Swiss financial regulatory authority, Paul’s multiple London-listed Co. Board experiences offer important contributions to AANR’s IPO and funding efforts. Executive Management

Kevin (Zimbabwe Citizen) has vast experience in the banking and financial sector, with Old Mutual Zimbabwe for 34 yrs and CABS for 11 yrs. Former Managing Director for CABS before transferring to Kenya to assist in Old Mutual’s East African expansion drive. Former Group COO of Old Mutual Group. He is currently the non-executive Chairman of Mangwana Capital and a Non-Executive Director at First Capital Bank Zimbabwe.

Andrew (Zimbabwe citizen) has a proven track record in Capital Raising and regional JORC-compliant mineral Resource development. Significant IP in the regional geology, infrastructure and operating environment – particularly in Southern Africa. Lengthy, successful minerals discovery and development track record. Ability to operate within the confines of legal and sociopolitical constraints and yet still achieve still achieve significant successes in the resource sector in East, Southern and Central Africa. 7th Generation African; 4th Generation Zimbabwean.

Richard (South African citizen) is a co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Mangwana Capital, an Africa-focused investment advisory and private equity firm, which is a significant investor in AANR. He is a seasoned financial service and mining executive with over 20 years of work experience in emerging markets including several years in the mining industry in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mali followed by a banking career with Goldman Sachs, Standard Bank and Credit Suisse in the UK, South Africa, Mauritius and Australia. Richard taking the seat on the Zimbabwe subsidiary Board (AANM) and will chair the onshore Technical Advisory Board. BSc Eng. (Hons); B.Comm, MBA

Peter (Zimbabwe citizen) is a CA with an entrepreneurial flair having vast experience in developing large companies. With a good re-pore from ground level to executives, he has developed a valuable understanding with various banking and financial institutions local, regional and offshore over the.  Having created instruments, short and long term, that have been growth orientated to the businesses employed in, and businesses associated with, promoting and making him an asset to any organisation.

Technical Advisory Board

BSc Min Eng and Chartered Engineer (UK) – Zimbabwean and British – African Resident Member – American Institute of Mining and Metallurgy; Fellow – Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (UK) A Mining Legend, Don was variously Rio’s CEO of Major Projects – (RTZ Metals Ltd) and Dep. Mining Director – Rio (Africa, South America and Europe) where he acquired and developed the largest copper mine in the world, Escondida, Moro D Oro, Neves Corvo etc. Born and educated in Zimbabwe, Don was a key driver in taking Rio to the heights it achieved globally. Later Co-founder, Director, CEO, and then Chairman of ASX-listed junior Lion Ore Mining International Ltd from 1997 to 2007 which rose from a $10 million market cap to sell to Norilsk for USD$6 billion.

General Manager at Zimasco (formerly Union Carbide) Chrome Smelters arising from 10 years hands-on experience at the smelter (Zimbabwe). Operations Director at Mimosa Mining Company – Zimbabwe’s second largest Platinum/PGM/Base-Metals Mine. Was responsible for construction and operation of the entire Complex until sale of mine to Aquarius and Impala Platinum. Lion Ore Mining International – Group COO and later Managing Director. Directly in supervision of General Manager and Project Director for Tati Nickel in Botswana, where he conceived of and optimised the Phoenix Mine concentrator. At Botswana’s Phoenix Mine, he initiated the DMS concept for Nickel (World First) and built the DMS plant. Was responsible for the development and operation in Botswana of Lion Ore’s patented Activox Plant (World First). Developed the Large-Scale Nkomati Nickel Mine in South Africa. Developed 2 x nickel mines in Australia (Maggie Hays and Waterloo) BCL – Board member and then Chairman of BCL in Botswana where he was responsible for the renegotiation and settlement of USD10 billion of BCL debt with international banks and creditors. Board Member of Impala Platinum. Until Recently, President and CEO of Toronto (TSX) and New York (NYSE) listed Asanko Gold. A major gold producer in West Africa. Peter is a founding partner of Executive Mining Group Ltd.

Rob Slater is a senior mining engineer with over 30 years of experience on 3 continents. Project Director at Mimosa Mining Company – Zimbabwe’s second largest Platinum/PGM/Base-Metals Mine. Project Director and Executive Mining Engineer for Lion Ore Africa – responsible for all African Mining operations including Tati Nickel in Botswana before sale to Norilsk Chief Mining Engineer in the development of Nkomati Nickel Mine, South Africa under Lion Ore before sale to Norilsk. Later adopted the role of Chief Operations Officer for Lion Ore Australia – responsible for 1 gold mine and 5 Nickel Mines plus a Nickel refinery in Australia. Executive Vice President for Strategy and Mining at Toronto (TSX) and New York (NYSE) listed Asanko Gold, a major gold producer in West Africa. Rob is a founding partner of Executive Mining Group Ltd.

Hugo Truter is a Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years of worldwide experience in mining projects. Hugo was Head of Mechanical Engineering, Plant and Equipment under Lion Ore Africa’s Tati Nickel in Botswana, which included the design and construction phases of Phoenix Mine near Matshelagabedi, Eastern Botswana. Hugo later become General manager of Tati Nickel before the sale to Norilsk. And adopted the role of Projects Manager – BCL Botswana – responsible for all capital projects including mill re-lining, flash furnace rebuilds etc. Hugo served for several years as Senior Vice President, responsible for all Projects and Engineering at Toronto (TSX) and New York (NYSE) listed Asanko Gold – a major gold producer in West Africa. Hugo is a founding partner of Executive Mining Group Ltd.

Botswana Advisory Board

Lily is a highly accomplished Botswana businessperson with broad experience. Currently the CEO of the Hospitality and Tourism Association of Botswana (HATAB), she has also held senior posts at the Tertiary Education Council and Fairground Holdings. She provides a strategic insight into HR and other social issues. Post Graduate Diploma of Science in Leadership and Change Management. BSc Hospitality Management with a Minor in Business Administration.

ZIMBABWE TEAM

An Exploration Geophysicist who graduated with an MSc in Geophysics (cum Laude) at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. Mhaka has more than 20 years of extensive experience in exploration geophysics for large and mid-tier mining companies like Anglo American, African Nickel (South Africa) and Associated African Nickel Mines (Zimbabwe) as well as experience with free-lance consulting and contracting geophysical companies.

An IT graduate with over 22 years of experience in security and large-scale project management in the Middle East. Projects included Airports and Ports. Conal was also a technical security provider to two large oil and gas service providers providing support over three continents.
